1-on-1 Horse Training
A personalised approach to natural horsemanship training that includes a thorough 1-on-1 assessment and a tailored programme to help you and your horse improve.
Individualised Approach to Horse Training
At our core, each of us is an individual with unique experiences and needs. The same is true for our horses. That’s why I believe in taking a personalised approach to horse training. With 1-on-1 training, I can tailor the training to suit your and your horse’s specific needs to ensure training is effective and worthwhile.
Thorough 1-on-1 Assessment
Before beginning any training, I conduct a thorough 1-on-1 assessment with both you and your horse. This assessment allows me to gain a deeper understanding of your horse’s behaviour and sensitivities, as well as any issues you may be experiencing. There are many factors that can impact a horse’s behaviour, and much of it is often unknown to us.
Tailored Course of Action
Based on the assessment, I will suggest a course of action and training programme to help you work through any issues and achieve relaxed and respectful behaviour from your horse. All my methods focus on natural horsemanship and work with the horse’s natural body language. I’ve written a blog post about what natural horsemanship is, so you can learn more about this approach to horse training before you begin.
Collaborative Training with Owner/Groom
If you have a groom, then I strongly believe that it’s more beneficial if they also work with me during the training sessions. This allows me to teach you the techniques that promote consistency in your horse’s handling after I have left. Of course, not everyone can participate in these sessions, so I am more than happy to work with your horse in your absence if required.
Flexible Training Schedule
After the initial assessment, I can design a training schedule that suits your requirements. Depending on your needs, I can do daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions with you and your horse. Typically, a session lasts for one hour, but this may vary depending on your horse’s fitness, capacity for training, and concentration.
